After taking some recording classes at the University of Oregon while completing his Bachelors of Arts in History Bert realized that recording was something he was very passionate about and that he needed to take his recording chops to the next level.  Upon realizing this Bert set off to making recording music a career and found the Conservatory of Recording arts and Sciences figuring that recording school could expedite his growth as a recording engineer.  After completing the program at the Conservatory with a 4.0 G.P.A. Bert proceeded to Nashville Tennessee to pursue  his career in the recording industry as an intern at the studio 'Welcome to 1979' www.welcometo1979.com working directly under owner/operator/engineer Chris Mara.  After only three months of interning Bert is now the first call assistant engineer at 'Welcome to 1979'  and is involved in many of Chris Mara's projects outside of the 'Welcome to 1979' studio.  'Welcome to 1979' is one of the only all analog studios is Nashville let alone the U.S. and Bert has been privileged in learning an insurmountable level of analog recording knowledge and is well suited in working on retro, old-school, all analog projects.  Bert is now working in Nashville as a freelance assistant engineer has the ability to run the ship and freelance engineer anywhere in Nashville.  Bert is also welcome to Engineer at his home base of 'Welcome to 1979' anytime with his own projects. 
 
Outside of engineering Bert has begun to pick up a lot of tech/repair knowledge and has even started modding his own gear as well as others.  Feel free to contact Bert for any repairs/technical issues, gear modifications, and Pro Tools consultations.
